A Year Gone By

AintNoBadDude turned 1 year old yesterday.

Don't worry, I'm neither media nor internet savvy enough to engage in an extended meta-blogging post. I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of the readers and fellow bloggers who have contributed to my experience with this site. Though I have tried my best to contribute to the form, there is no question that I have personally benefited from my experience to a much greater degree than whatever I may have offered in return.

The manner in which I gather news and information -- form and express my opinions -- is practically unrecognizable from one year ago. Perhaps most striking is the fact that I no longer grant the traditional media an automatic "benefit of the doubt" as to the veracity or authority of their reporting and punditry. With an ever-growing circle of favorite blogs, I now have a mechanism for processing news and opinion that can adapt to my daily changing needs. Blogs now serve as my filters for mainstream media, and in many cases, they offer analysis and opinion that I value as much as any professional source.

Special thanks must go out to my BlogDaddy Glenn Reynolds, and to BlogMommy Natalie Solent. I've often been a petulant and contrary little BlogBaby, but hopefully, they are not too ashamed of me.
